Thankful….
I hope that this blog finds everyone doing well. Here in the States we are celebrating Thanksgiving and I have a lot to be thankful for. Just like I did on the Canadian Thanksgiving, I have had some time to reflect on what I am thankful for. There are so many things to say or write I have decided to narrow it down and tell you about a few.
First, I am thankful for my family. My mother and father have been a huge part of my life, and helped mold and shape me to be the person I am today. The core values that they have instilled in me have been a huge contribution to my success. My brother, Jay, has always been in my corner. He’s been a great person to talk to and no matter what has always be a huge supporter of me and my journey. My wife Ashley has been a blessing, her support and encouragement mean a lot.
I am also thankful for my teammates. I truly believe that I have the best teammates in the world. Its no coincidence that we have all crossed paths. The Cahoons, Calvillos, Stewarts, Have all been great models for me as a player. They have shown me the way, and are all like big brothers to me. My fellow receivers, especially, Kerry Watkins, Jamel Richardson, SJ Green, have helped me elevate my game and become a better player year by year. So thankful.
The whole Country of Canada for giving me an opportunity to live my dream and earn a living. The experiences I have had will forever be special, and will be remembered not only by me but by my family as well. Canada is now a huge part of my life, and will be forever.
I hope that everyone north of the border is having a great day. And for all Americans, Happy Thankgiving.
