Brian, you chose to re-sign in Montreal shortly before becoming a free-agent. What was your decision process like, and what made you decide to stay in Montreal and not 'test the open market'?

Well obviously I was pretty close to testing the market, but I decided it was more important to stay somewhere where I felt comfortable. I know exactly who my coaching staff is, I know exactly who my teammates are, and I know how I fit in with the team chemistry wise. I feel wanted there, like I am a part of something. So you never want to leave a good situation. Plus, its on the east coast, so the people closest to me can still get to me as opposed to being out west where its tough to fly out for a weekend.

What do you like most about Montreal? What do you do in your spare time during the season? Which of your teammates do you spend the most time with?

Montreal is a great city for many reasons. Everyone that comes to visit doesn’t want to leave. There are awesome places to shop, great restaurants, and the people are overall nice. During my spare time i just like to hang out, movies, TV, rest, and i study ALOT. I spend most of my time with Anwar Stewart our D-end, and Brad Banks sometimes too.

Where do you spend the off season?

I spend my offseason in a few places. My home is in Augusta, GA, but i just moved into a condo in Greenville, SC, where i went to college, Furman University. Other than that i travel, i try to get to some different spots. Vegas, Nashville, Atlanta, I hit the road.

What's your off-season diet like? Does it differ much from your in-season diet? Where are your favorite places to eat?

HaHa, funny you ask that. I just started a new low sodium thing. It kind of takes the fun out eating, and I love to eat out, but my trainer vows to have me ready, so im trying. My in season diet is much different especially in Montreal. They have such good places to go. A lot of the time we are pressed for time so we just grab food, we arent on a diet. My favorite place to eat in Montreal is probably the Keg, while at home I'd probablly say Bonefish Grill

How do you spend most of your time in the off season? Do you work out with any team mates or other players in the area?

I spend most of my offseason working out. Some people give me a hard time about it because it seems like im always just hanging out relaxing, but i work hard. And i work hard during the season. But when i am training its all out so relaxing after is much needed. I work out with some other athletes around the area and also some cfl players at times. Every once in awhile ill train with my NFL friends too.

What do you do to relax when you're not training?

I like to have a good time. Hang out with people. I try to see my family often, and give a lot of my time to my friends. I attend my church, which i love, on a regular basis. I will begin some community involvement soon, which i already train younger kids, hoping to help them reach their athletic potential while encouraging them to be the best people they can be.

Tell me more about your off-season life down south. Where do you live, what do you drive?

I live in a small community in Greenville called Cherrydale. I have a nice little spot here. Not to big but definantly not to small. Im driving my Navigator right now and I love it, but in Augusta is my sweetheart, my jaguar and i miss it. My mom cruises in it now. Im sure she looks great in it.
